General Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Works collaboratively within Clinical departments to orient new employees and educate staff regarding the Meditech Information System. Develops training materials and course content for education of users, including physicians, on the clinical modules. Provides training to users on all shifts as appropriate to ensure consistency in utilization of the CIS, including hands on, one on one and classroom settings.
- Responsible for development and coordination of all new hire HIS Clinical module training programs, including physicians.
- Develops procedure and education plan for users of the HIS Clinical Information modules.
- Performs documentation audits for new hires within sixty (60) days and develops care partner specific education for refresher class. Evaluates on-going documentation education opportunities related to regulatory reporting, meaningful use, core measures and/or patient safety. Communicates needs with clinical informatics, leadership, and unit educators.
- Collaborates with clinical personnel to identify computer training needs and documentation gaps and/or enhancements. Communicates need with analyst.
- Communicates relevant information to clinical departments as necessary. Interfaces with Information System Staff and other departments as applicable.
- Coordinates Meditech enhancement communication to all care partners.
- Performs similar or related duties as assigned.
- Knows fire, disaster and safety procedures and regulations as it pertains to the work area.
Formal Education:
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- 3 years to < 5 years
- State of Florida RN License preferred
