General Description: 
Under the direct supervision of the Laboratory Administrative Director and the Laboratory Operations Manager, performs all functions associated with document control, including typing procedures, policies, creating graphs, flowcharts, power point presentations, and laboratory newsletter. Downloads monthly quality control records and enters data into “MAS-LAB-LINK” website.  The position shall exemplify the desired Culture of Choice® and philosophies of Parrish Healthcare.  

 Key Responsibilities:
  • Enters monthly quality control data on-line. Maintains / updates instruments and lot numbers on data entry website. Prints, calculates and files quality control daily and monthly for review. 
  • Types procedures, reports, letters and memos, create forms, spreadsheets and flowcharts for the laboratory, Operations Manager and Administrative Director. Creates graphs and memos for productivity/justification needs for the laboratory. Maintains Laboratory Document Control, as well as, Laboratory policy book. Acts as backup / support for payroll. 
  • Prepares data and minutes for all laboratory meetings. (Pathology QA, Clinical Laboratory, General Laboratory, Nursing/Lab QA, Emergency Dept/Lab QA and POCT). 
  • Maintains/orders laboratory office supplies and toners for all laboratory printers. 
  • Updates Laboratory Intranet files/information. Supports the laboratory with computer / network information. 
  • Creates and distributes the Laboratory Newsletter. 
  • Creates Laboratory Power Point Presentations for the laboratory. 
  • Creates Net Learning Classes (CBL) for the laboratory. 
  • Performs similar or related duties as assigned. 
  • Knows fire, disaster and safety procedures and regulations as it pertains to the work area 
Requirements:

Formal Education:
  • High School diploma or GED required.
Work Experience:
  • Minimum of one 1 to 2 years experience
